 Handicapped Access Policy:

The Ginger Studio  has a large entry door, only one step to enter and has are grab bars in the shower works for guests with a walker or stability issues. It does  not meet all of the criteria for a handicapped access unit. With only two units we are exempt from providing a unit for handicapped Access.

Occupancy:

We accept guests of all ages in the two bedroom two bath unit which is the combination of the Ginger Studio and the Garden Suite.   When rented separately it does not  work to accept the little ones under the age of three in either the Ginger Studio or the Garden Suite.  The little ones do cry at night.  With our windows open a crying child will  wake up the adjoining room guests. 

Cancellation Policy: 

We ask that everyone be very sure that they want to book before they reserve a room. If you have doubts or concerns that you may not come to Hawaii please do not reserve a room. In some situations such as health issues, travel insurance may be appropriate. However, read the fine print in the insurance policy they have many exclusions. 

When you reserve the room we take it off the market and will not rent it to others who inquire about those dates.    In general, we have a no refund policy on the deposit for our stays.  However, in the past, we have refunded when the planes did not fly for weather conditions, pandemics and in certain other emergency circumstances.  

We do have a policy of  first come first served based on receipt of deposit. We have a no smoking on the property policy.  If you smoke there will be a $250 fine added to your fee.  We also do not take check ins that arrive on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day  or Thanksgiving.

PAYMENT INFORMATION 

To reserve your place at Hawaii Sheffield House, we will need to receive a deposit of one-half the total, with the balance due 30 days prior to  arrival. You may pay by personal or bank check (US funds, US dollars), zelle, Visa or MC on US banks is preferred. Bank checks are of course preferred.

European and Australian guests may find that wire transfer fees are less than credit card fees. If you would like to do a wire transfer contact us for banking information.

In general the cheapest time to travel are the first three weeks of May and the first three weeks of December.
