Where is Hawaii Sheffield House located?

We are located in Kailua, Oahu.  Across the Pali Mountains from Honolulu and 40 minute drive from Waikiki.

Do we accept pets or service animals ?
At this time we do not accept pets.  Service animals are on a case by case basis that is based on the service that the animal provides.
Do we allow children?
We allow children 4 years old and older  in the Garden Suite and Ginger Studio.  We allow all ages in the Two Bedroom Two Bath unit.  Yes, children count as people in the maximum number of people allowed.
What do we require for a deposit?
We require a deposit of 50% of the total amount including the cleaning fee and taxes.
What is our Cancellation Policy?
Our official policy is that there are no refunds once the deposit is paid.
What time is check-in?
Check in is any time after 3 pm
What time is the first mornings' breakfast served?
We put breakfast items of pastry, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea in your room before you arrive for you to eat on your own schedule.
Is Sheffield House ADA Compliant?
No, we have only two units and so are not required to be  ADA compliant.  However, the units ARE on the ground floor and are only a short walk to your unit.  The doorways are not wide enough for adult wheelchairs.

My plane is arriving late do you allow late check ins?
Yes, we will provide you with self-check-in instructions when you let us know your arrival time.  
Do you use pesticides?
Yes,  this is the tropics.  We hire a pesticide service which comes every other month.
Do you recycle?
Yes, there are  recycle bins for glass, plastic and cans located on the street side of the  the garage .
Why don’t you have a sign out front?
Hawaii has a very strict signage law.  As part of our bed and breakfast license we are not allowed to put a sign on the street.  You will also note that there are no billboards.  :  )
